'Premika' to offer a unique 3D experience

While Ollywood might not have the budget to come up with a 3D movie yet, here’s a bit of an innovation that director Sibu Mohanty has done to offer a new movie-going experience to the audience.
For his forthcoming movie titled “Premika”, viewers will be able to imbibe the aroma of lip-smacking dishes or the fragrance of incense sticks depending on the demands of the scenes.In the absence of huge budgets, Mohanty has hit upon the idea of using a big vacuum pressure machine that will spray scented fragrance into the auditorium while the audience enjoys certain scenes.
Says Mohanty, “Mine is a realistic movie about how three guys make their love life interesting. “Premika” will be the first of its kind movie in Odisha to use this novel idea. If there is a prayer scene, we will ensure that viewers enjoy the fragrance of incense sticks. For a scene at the dinner table, the audience will literally be able to smell the aroma that’ll tickle their taste buds! The cast of my movie includes Prakriti Mishra, Rudra, Bulu and newcomers Abhisek and Swarnali and I’m sure they too will like it.”
Sounds interesting though one isn’t quite sure how the director will negotiate the problems of clash of fragrances since the real time and the reel time might necessarily not match and one scene might quickly lead on to another with a completely different demand. However, that’s something one can only understand when the film releases during Dussehra this year.
